Who Are We?

A&D Technology is a provider of world-class test cell integration products and services, including data acquisition and control systems, combustion analysis, rapid prototyping controllers, engine mapping and optimization software, data management systems, and dynamometers. Our products and services have been utilized in automotive, on- and off-road heavy duty diesel, marine, small engine, motorsports, and fuels and lubricant development.

Our History

A&D Technology was founded in 2004 in Ann Arbor, Michigan as an American subsidiary of A&D Company, Ltd., a global manufacturer of testing and measurement equipment with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. A&D Technology's purpose was to bring A&D Company's testing and measurement expertise into the automotive engine and powertrain development market.

In August 2005, recognizing the need for an organization with experience in engine and powertrain test cell integration, A&D Technology purchased the former Powertrain Technology Division of MTS Systems, which was formed in 1999 by the merger of two experienced test cell product and services providers, DSP Technology and Powertek. Together these two companies have over 20 years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting engine test cells.
