Current employment opportunities:
Hardware Engineer
Our new Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design of state-of-the-art measurement and control products.
Requirements include a BSEE (or MSEE) with at least 2 years experience in the following:
- Digital design: FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog, hardware and firmware development with embedded DSP processors
- Schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- C/C++ programming experience on LInux
- Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Preferred /desired experience & skills include:
- Understanding of x86 hardware and operating skills
- Design of electronics to interface with instrumentation and other real-world devices
- Understanding of automotive powertrain electronics and controls
- Experience and knowledge of high-performance motor drives for test and dynamometer control purposes a plus
- Good engineering problem-solving skills, including testing and achieving EMC standards
Application Engineer
Responsibilities include applications development and commissioning of complex, state-of-the-art engine, transmission, battery or HEV test systems, and applying A&D and third-party tools (such as MATLAB/Simulink) to help bridge the gap between models and test.
Requirements include:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science)
- 1-2 years exposure to PC applications, high-speed digital data acquisition and test laboratory instrumentation
- Must have a basic understanding of internal combustion engines, engine controls and testing
Preferred experience includes:
- Applying dynamometers/drive technology to engine testing
- ECU and engine calibration processes, engine mapping and modeling, with experience using MATLAB, Simulink and MBC Toolbox.
- A&D ADAPT, Atlas, VX-In and/or iTest software products operation
