Atlas: An Alternative
Atlas is A&D Technology's first-generation automated mapping and calibration tool. Just like ORION, Atlas performs the automation of the test cell and calibration tool according to a DoE, and produces a characterization of the powertrain based on the DoE and the procedure for the modeling and calibration process. Designed to fit into the same part of the calibration process as ORION, it is ideally suited for those customers who prefer the added flexibility it provides.
- A working knowledge of VCL provides the ability to build a wide variety of tests specific to your application
- A direct interface to CAS (A&D's combustion analysis system)
Both ORION and Atlas are designed to fit in a flexible, open non-prescriptive automated calibration process
- Any tool (such as The MathWorks MBC Toolbox) can be used to create the DoE
- The outputs can feed any modeling/calibration toolset
- The standard procedures that the calibration toolset uses can be adapted to run the experiments in the test cell in whatever manner the user wishes
- Extensions can be made to both tools in a variety of technologies
