A&D Technology Inc.

Plan Overview

Routine preventive maintenance provides extended life and operation for your equipment, and helps to guard against system downtime.  With this plan, a comprehensive inspection will be performed, and a detailed report will be presented to address the major and non-critical issues, and solutions will be presented to fix any situation as quickly as possible.

Features

  • Motor mechanical inspection and check out  (More Info)
  • Drive electrical inspection and check out (More Info)
  • Detailed report with inspection results
  • Five (5) hours of Help Desk support
  • Unlimited email support
  • Discounts on software, spare parts, on-site labor and training courses

Plan Details

Standard preventive maintenance services as described below will be performed during a mutually-agreed-upon time by experienced, factory-trained A&D employees in order to minimize your cell downtime.  If any additional work is needed once inspections are complete, all on-site service work on the dynamometers will be billed at 10% off the standard labor rates as defined in this plan.

Spare Parts

A 10% discount will be applied to any parts required to maintain your dynamometer system.  A&D will make recommendations on parts or additional repairs needed during the maintenance visit.

Discount Services

This support plan includes a 10% discount on software, in-house training at A&D, spare parts and on-site labor rates.

Coverage
Hours

Support and Help Desk services will be provided from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, excluding A&D-observed holidays.

Travel Expenses

Travel and living expenses will be invoiced at cost.

Optional Services

Vibration

  • Take vibration readings from several bearing points (front, back and center bearing block if applicable) on dynamometer motor to determine bearing wear, motor concerns and possible alignment issues
  • Provide detailed reports of vibration data from bearing points at different speeds
  • Provide recommendations for any corrective actions deemed necessary

Harmonics

  • Take harmonic readings from several potential sources in dynamometer test cell to determine potential sources of noise

Shaft Alignment

  • Check the dynamometer shaft alignment with the test components to determine potential problem areas
  • Take appropriate actions to correct any areas of concern

Software Tune Up

  • Have a trained technician go through the data acquisition and control system for the entire test cell
  • Provide recommendations for any corrective actions deemed necessary, such as tuning loops of calibration
  • Take appropriate action to correct any areas of concern

Documentation Updates

  •  Have a trained technician go through the documentation for the data acquisition and control system for the entire test cell and verify that the wire terminations and labels are in place and reflected in the print set

Gear Box Maintenance

  • Lubricate bearing points with proper weight lube
  • Inspect couplings for wear
  • Take appropriate action to correct any areas of concern

Dynamometer Motor Mechanical Inspection

  • Inspect and secure all mounting hardware, motors, floor mounts and couplings
  • Meggar motor and torque motor power leads to proper tightness
  • Check motor signal connections
  • Check wiring of and verify proper signal feed from encoder

  • Lubricate bearing points with proper weight lube
  • Inspect couplings for wear
  • Verify bearing lube drip rate and pressure are correctly adjusted
  • Verify motor bearing temprature safety system is operational
  • Verify motor bearing lubrication pressure and temperature safety systems are performing correctly

Dynamometer Drive Electrical Inspection

  • Inspect and tighten all terminal connections including torque check of buss bar connections
  • Inspect safety panels to ensure they fit properly and are in place
  • Inspect coolant system for leaks and check pressure and fluid level
  • Inspect and clean or replace all air and coolant filters
  • Verify all fans are mounted securely and are providing proper ventilation and flow
  • Check all indiactor lights for proper operation
  • Inspect all line voltage conditions, both phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground
  • Take data from amp readings, both loaded and unloaded systems
  • Verify DC bus voltage, both loaded and unloaded systems
