Overview
The ADAPT Operation Workshop emphasizes hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art test cell. Instruction is designed for new users who have a working knowledge of Windows terms and functions. The workshop is essential for people who operate steady-state and transient tests and who wish to acquire quality data. The course will benefit test cell operators, engineers and instrumentation technicians of all experience levels, and test lab managers or supervisors responsible for technical support and planning.
Objectives
- Identify ADAPT components, features, and operation terminology
- Set screen defaults, create a display screen, and define screen element properties
- Define pendant push buttons and pots
- Perform a manual test, including changing operating conditions and global limits, manually entering parameter values, taking manual data points, saving history data, manual data processing, and using the header page auto log feature
- Perform automatic tests, including test mapping, changing states and moving within the test schedule
- Build graphic display screens to practice the basics of manual and automatic test control
- Practice data reporting and plotting
- Perform engine-dynamometer control tasks
- Analyze tests quickly and easily
- Describe the meaning of change state and next step
- Explain the FileHost application
