Overview
The three-day Advanced ADAPT/ABLE Workshop familiarizes participants with ABLE features which enable the enhancement of ADAPT beyond the built-in form-driven capabilities of the standard product. The workshop is designed for engineers, programmers, and test cell support personnel who have some familiarity with Windows, as well as a programming language such as Visual Basic or C++, and have attended the ADAPT Test Define workshop.
Objectives
- Define ABLE (the Adapt Basic Language Extension)
- Explain how ABLE works and review ABLE functions
- Practice ABLE exercises
- Create, edit and debug ABLE files
- Identify how ABLE executes
- Declare built-in ABLE functions
- Develop user-defined functions
- Write and compile ABLE scripts
- Explain when and why to use ABLE functions
- Explain variables and the different types of variables
- Identify ABLE functions and subroutines and explain the differences between them
- Practice using SDF functions
- Describe ABLE Tricks such as using parameterized 'I' gain to control overshoot
- Find MBT Spark and LBT Fuel using ABLE
- Describe and practice using the Table Functions
- Identify ABLE timing functions
- Describe common programming mistakes
