VX-IN Operation

Overview

The two-day Operation Workshop is a highly interactive program that emphasizes hands-on experience with a VX-In test cell. Instruction is designed for VX-In users that have a familiarity with Windows, and the VX-In user interface. The workshop is essential for people who will be interacting with the VX-In data acquisition and control software. The course will benefit test cell operators, engineers and instrumentation technicians of all experience levels, and test lab managers or supervisors responsible for technical support.

Objectives

• Identify VX-In components, features and operation terminology

   

• Explain the directory structure that is employed

   

• Open and view the system log, and application-specific logs

   

• Practice starting and shutting down the acquisition and control system

   

• Input user information using Forms and Custom Displays

   

• Perform system functions through the use of mailslot messaging

   

• Analyze data with the data analysis tool

   

• Explain the Automatic and Manual modes of operation

   

• Perform engine dynamometer control tasks

   

• Practice using the 2D Scheduler to run tests

   

• Utilize the Manual Ramp feature

   

• Build new display screens with the display builder utility

   

• Use the Alarm Status display to monitor and modify limits

   

• Utilize the Diagnostic screen to change channel values
• Change Limit Groups and Autotests with the toolbar
