Overview
The two-day Test Authoring Workshop is a dynamic, interactive program that emphasizes hands-on experience with the VX-In test language. All participants should have completed the two-day VX-In Operation Workshop. Instruction is designed for advanced VX-In users who will be creating or modifying tests for the VX-In user interface. The course will benefit test cell operators, engineers, and test lab managers responsible for test development.
Objectives
- Define and modify the different elements of the VX-In database
- Create Timers and Virtual Channels for controlling a test
- Setup PID loops and Mode Pairs
- Program pushbuttons
- Define text string mapping
- Identify Schedule Editor functionality
- Identify Test Manager terminology
- Utilize the system calculation files
- Manipulate alphanumeric (string) database channels
- Write and run a manual test sequence
- Apply the commands of the VX-In Control Language
- Set up Logs and statistical logging options
- Author an automatic test sequence incorporating custom displays and programmatic logging of data
- Control the dynamometer and throttle in manual and automatic modes
- Debug Test Builder errors
